Flurry or Tigers Stance
alright, flurry gives 25% lessdmg but you got an IAS every 5 secs. Tiger stance is every 20secs but you don;t lose the 25%.
what is your preference?
the only other two speed increases i can think of are Whirling Charge and Tiger stance.

Flurry.
The 25% less damage DOES NOT apply to your skills. It only applies to your normal attacks.

If your combo recharges faster than BoA, use Flurry.
Flail is also decent in some sin builds.

Most fun I ever had in RA was against a Sin running that. Well, that and the monk that I one-shot with a normal dagger attack.

Smoke Powder Defenses would be an even better cancel stance if it didn't have the long recharge time.

If you're able to throw off your spike chain more than once every 20 seconds (say, it's got an effective 15 recharge) then go Flurry.
If not, then Tiger Stance is far superior - it essentially has no downside (because if you miss, you're screwed anyway )
Whirling Charge can be pretty epic if you're running AoD.

I use Frenzy out of the lot using dash as the cancel stance and i find it to be the most useful of the other IAS's. Plus its so funny to see people making fun of you for using Frenzy on a sin.....That is until you kill them 2 seconds later...

Taking double damage on a 70AL melee profession from an Elementalist isn't that great though.
I guess that's where battlefield awareness and general mobility come in to play.

Tiger's Stance is better because well no downside for sins to it. That 25% of the base damage can be anywhere from 2 damage (1.75 but rounded up) to 4 damage (4.25) [this is just going off the base damage not including armor] but not like it makes a difference really.

I prefer Flurry because of it's quick recharge and 100% upkeep when using Daggers, but the only *truly* viable Assassin build with Flurry is Moebius. I prefer using CritScythe over that.
So, Tiger Stance since I only run Instagibs with my Dagger 'Sins...

Flurry because the -25% does not affect bonus damage, only the already low and almost negligible base damage of your damage. If you're spiking however, and your spike recharges in 20 secs or longer, use Tiger Stance.

it requires point investments into wind prayers and you have to be enchanted making it less attractive

u do realize u wont know when to cancel ur stance until u take dmg. If u happened to be fighting a person that actually knows how to do alot of damage ina short amount of time, cancelling ur stance is rather pointless as u might be dead b4 u realized u needed to cancel. Not even the best of players can utilize cancelling frenzy fully, there is always a downside in taking more damage than usual ( u dont know always know whos aiming at u, considering ppl can atk u at range)

henc why I only use frenzy when the person is pre-occupied I woudnt be stupid enough to use it while im being attacked i usually only activate it if and while the person is knocked down or as just stated while their pre-occupied. battlefield awareness ftw?

Agreed. Frenzy is 100% IAS, with no downtime. And any aware assassin will hit a cancel stance after they get hit once, because it means that they are being targeted, or in the middle of being AoE'd. The only thing that could really do significant damage before one cancels Frenzy is a co-ordinated spike, or the first hit/two hits of a spike. -However- Frenzy requires that you have a cancel stance, unless you're using a skill like Shadow Fang that will re-shadowstep you out of the area once your target is dead.
